Bold Design, Superior Engineering

Audi has just launched an all-new model line! The A5 line fits into the premium mid-size sedan segment. This new line combines the A4 and previous A5 line into an all-new A5.

The A5 is built on the innovative Premium Platform Combustion (PPC), offering a more spacious design with increased length, height, and width compared to the A4. Every A5 comes equipped with a 7-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission and the renowned quattro® all-wheel-drive system for superior performance. Powering the A5 is a standard 2.0L TFSI® 4-cylinder engine, delivering an impressive 268 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, ensuring a dynamic and refined driving experience.

A standout feature, exclusive to the A5 Prestige, is the introduction of eight customizable digital LED daytime running light signatures. Additionally, the Prestige model offers second-generation digital OLED customizable taillights.

Let's take a closer look at more of the exciting details!

Sleek Exterior Design With a Commanding Presence

The A5 stuns sleek, commanding presence, emphasizing its refined proportions. With its extended 2.8-inch wheelbase, large wheels, and sleek, low-profile greenhouse, the design exudes the silhouette characteristic of a Sportback. The A5's sleek profile sweeps gracefully toward the rear, blending into the shallow rear window and culminating in a coupe-like design at the visually compact deck lid. Accentuated by a bold lip spoiler, this design element adds both style and sophistication. A standout feature in its class, the rear deck lid integrates seamlessly with the rear window, offering a perfect balance of elegance and practicality. With 22.6 cubic feet of trunk space, the A5 delivers impressive storage capacity, which expands to 36.6 cubic feet when the rear seats are folded down.

The front bumper of the A5 commands attention with its wide, sleek Singleframe grille, featuring a bold three-dimensional honeycomb pattern and aerodynamically designed air curtains at the base. Paired with sharp, slim headlights, it creates a striking and confident look that demands a second glance. The hood seamlessly aligns with the bumper, giving the A5 a clean profile.

The fender blisters on the front and rear shoulders echo the classic Audi Ur-Quattro, a key part of Audi's design heritage. The flush door handles enhance aerodynamics, while the rear blends stylish design with smart tech. A standout light strip adds depth and presence, complemented by a darkened bumper diffuser and sleek rectangular exhaust tips.

Key Interior Characteristics

Four key characteristics define the A5's interior: Human-centric design, The Digital Stage, Material Driven Design, and Visual Clarity. Human-centric design prioritizes the needs of users, ensuring functionality and ease of use. The Digital Stage is seen through Audi MMI displays thoughtfully positioned for optimal visibility by both the driver and front passenger. Material-Driven Design focuses on creating a spacious, comfortable interior, while Visual Clarity ensures a clean, intuitive layout for effortless operation in any situation.

The new E³ 1.2 digital electronic architecture introduces an advanced operating concept, enhancing interaction with the vehicle. Its goal is to seamlessly integrate the A5 into the owner's digital ecosystem. At the heart of this innovation is the sleek, free-standing Digital Stage of the Audi MMI panoramic display. Featuring advanced OLED technology, it boasts a gracefully curved design that blends elegance with cutting-edge functionality. The model features an 11.9-inch virtual cockpit and a 14.5-inch MMI center touch display. For added convenience, there's optional 10.9-inch MMI front-passenger display. Complementing this is the Dynamic Interaction Light (IAL), an LED strip running across the dashboard that provides visual cues for functions like lock/unlock and turn signals.

The Head-Up Display (HUD) has been significantly upgraded, now offering an 85% larger display area with improved clarity. Drivers can configure the HUD to show additional content such as speed, navigation instructions, and media data. For the first time, vehicle and infotainment functions can be adjusted directly via the HUD, making it a highly practical feature. Redesigned steering wheel controls further enhance usability, allowing drivers to navigate menus and handle calls without taking their eyes off the road.

The A5 also features the Audi assistant, an AI-powered voice control system. Activated by the command “Hey Audi” or a button on the steering wheel, the assistant can manage various vehicle functions, including climate control and navigation.

For audiophiles, the A5 offers two optional Bang & Olufsen Premium sound systems with 3D sound, delivering up to 810 watts of power through 20 speakers. Four of these speakers are integrated into the headrests of the optional front sports seats. Navigation prompts can also be directed to the driver’s headrest, minimizing distractions for other passengers while maintaining a premium audio experience.

Enhanced Driving Dynamics

The drive itself also sees an impressive upgrade in the new A5, taking the dynamic and precise handling Audi is known for to new heights. By mounting the steering rack directly to the body and incorporating a stiffer torsion bar, the A5 delivers enhanced responsiveness and control for an exceptional driving experience. This offers more exact driver feedback from the road.

Beyond that, the front suspension wishbone bearings have been enhanced, the front drive-axle strengthened, and the front-axle camber adjusted to deliver more responsive steering performance.

The new A5 features a rear-biased anti-roll stabilization and a stiffer rear suspension connection, enhancing agility during cornering. The integrated brake control system, featuring brake torque vectoring, enhances cornering by applying precise braking to the inner wheels. Working seamlessly with the Electronic Stability Control (ESC), it creates a more balanced and neutral chassis setup, reducing the cornering radius and improving handling

Standard on the A5 are dynamically tuned steel suspension and 18-inch wheels with all-season run-flat tires. You also have the option of 19-inch wheels available.
