It's Truly a Concept Brought to Life.

In 2024, Audi will release the next-generation 2024 A8, the A8 e-tron. The model will be sold only as an EV, which aligns with the brand's commitment to debut only EVs starting in 2026 and stop selling internal combustion engine (ICE) models by 2033. The new model will be Audi's first full-size all-electric sedan, a massive step towards that electric future!

Images of the new A8 have yet to be captured, but you can expect the design to take inspiration from the Grandsphere concept, which debuted in September of 2021.

Marc Lichte, Head of Audi Design, said, "The Grandsphere is a very concrete teaser. It's not far away from what will become production. It's not 1:1, but very close."

While specifications and features have not yet been released, we want to walk you through a few specs of the Grandsphere concept vehicle, to give you an idea of what the new A8 could potentially look like.

The Grandsphere concept featured lustrous styling with slim headlights and chiseled sides, as well as an all-wheel drive and two electric motors, which gave an incredible horsepower of 710 and 708 lb-ft of torque. It even had reverse-opening doors! Furthermore, thanks to the 120 kWh battery, the Grandsphere had a range of 466 miles and could charge the car from 5% to 80% in a little over 20 minutes. In addition, the interior featured high-quality materials like wood, wool, aluminum, and gas.

While the A8 e-tron won't be an exact replica of the Grandsphere, it will still be a fantastic model! The A8 e-tron will be built on Audi's Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture, co-developed with Porsche.

We are thrilled to watch as our unique concept translates to a model that drivers can get their hands on soon. If you have questions about our Audi vehicles, contact us today at Bell Audi. We can't wait to share our passion for the brand with you and our confidence and commitment to a bright and electric future!
