The Audi RS4 was briefly sold in Europe when it made its debut in 2000 as an Avant (wagon). However, it is new to the US. The 2008 Audi RS4 provides comfortable backseats, a spacious trunk, and supportive front seats for optimum relaxation. For 2008, a limited-run convertible, RS4 Cabriolet, joins the RS4 sedan with the same powerful V-8 under its hood.
Powertrain and Performance
The 2008 RS4 is a compact ultra-performance car that’s available in sedan and convertible body styles. It boasts of a 420-horsepower V-8 engine that produces 317 pound-feet of torque and has a specially-tuned suspension system with Dynamic Ride Control. A six-speed manual gearbox delivers power to all four wheels through Audi's Quattro all-wheel-drive system. The RS4 sedan gives 13 mpg in the city and 20 mpg on the highway.

The 2008 Audi RS4 is equipped with a higher degree of power and handling than its competitors. It comes with bigger brakes, xenon headlights, Recaro sport seats with power adjustment (the Convertible version has less aggressive, non-Recaro seats and a slightly different interior design), and front seat heaters. The new Titanium package adds titanium-colored 19-inch wheels and blacked-out interior and exterior trimmings. Silk Napa leather upholstery, carbon-fiber cabin trimmings, dual-zone automatic climate control, a 10-speaker audio system with six-disc CD changer, sunroof, and rear park assist are some of the other standard features on the RS4.
