Audi honors 91 dealers with 2014 Magna Society Awards
· Each winning dealer ranks among the most outstanding Audi retailers in the U.S.
· Audi customer service and business objectives must be met in order to earn Magna Society status
HERNDON, Virginia, March 16, 2015 - Audi honored 91 top-performing dealerships in the U.S. with the Magna Society Awards, a distinction for dealers who achieved excellent performance in 2014.
To earn Magna Society recognition, dealers must demonstrate an exceptional level of customer service as well as strong business performance.
The Magna Society was created by Audi to identify and recognize dealerships that go above and beyond the standard business objectives and sales targets. To qualify for Magna Society status, a dealership must show that they are engaged in sales and service programs and adhere to specific business processes. Their facility and staff should also properly represent the Audi brand and culture.
"The caliber of the Audi dealer network in the United States continues to increase each year, and the commitment of our dealer partners is one of the key catalysts in Audi becoming the top luxury brand in the United States," said Mark Del Rosso, EVP and Chief Operating Officer, Audi of America. "The Magna Society Awards are a tribute to those dealers that model how a successful dealership should operate and truly exemplify the Audi brand values."
The Magna Society awards fit with long-range plans established by Audi and its franchise partners to make Audi facilities more exclusive. In 2014, the number of dealership locations exclusively selling Audi models increased by the end of the year to 173 in the U.S. from 15 dealerships operating in 1999. Audi also increased its share of the U.S. imported luxury car segment to 10.9% based on record annual U.S. sales of 182,011 units in 2014.
Audi of America, Inc. and its U.S. dealers offer a full line of German-engineered luxury vehicles. AUDI AG is among the most successful luxury automotive brands globally. The Audi Group delivered over 1,741,000 vehicles to customers globally in 2014, and broke all-time company sales records for the 5th straight year in the U.S. Through 2019, AUDI AG plans to invest about 24 billion euros - 70 percent of the investment will flow into the development of new models and technologies. Bell Audi 2009 Audi Magna Society Award Winner
- Magna program honors the best of the best among
all U.S. Audi dealers
- To earn the award, dealers must meet customer service and business objectives
- Magna Society fits alongside Audi dealer plans to spend $1 billion on franchises
HERNDON, Va., May 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Audi identified its top performing U.S. dealerships throughout 2009, a year that saw the brand and its retail partners gain momentum despite economic challenges.
The 58 Audi dealerships out of 270 operating nationally last year earned the 2009 Magna Society recognition by providing superlative customer service while achieving strong overall business performance.
Audi established the Magna Society to recognize U.S. dealerships that stand out as the best of the best. To qualify, dealerships can't just meet or exceed sales targets. They must also demonstrate they are maintaining a solid financial foundation, merit high customer satisfaction scores and show their facilities and staffs represent the progressive Audi culture.
"The ability of Audi to flourish in these times has been built on sound business practices, a sharper brand identity and the outstanding customer service provided by our best dealers," said Mark Del Rosso, Chief Operating Officer, Audi of America. "With the Magna Society we recognize the U.S. dealers who have provided the best examples in 2009."
The annual Magna Society awards fit with long-range plans established by Audi and its franchise partners to make Audi facilities more exclusive. Between 2003 and 2011, Audi dealers made plans to spend $1 billion on facilities - a level of investment that has changed little amid the current economic downturn. Since 2006, the number of exclusive Audi dealerships has increased 34% to 135 out of 271 overall in the U.S. today. By the end of this year, Audi expects to have 140 exclusive dealerships.
"Commitment like this from dealers shows the excitement generated by the Audi brand and the collection of exceptional motor cars Audi has been introducing in recent years," said Johan de Nysschen, President, Audi of America. "It is the basis for a very bright future for Audi, its dealer partners and, most of all, customers."
